Brady Moore‘s “The Fourth Kinetic: Clairvoyants” is an action-packed young adult science fiction book. Rion Grean and his mother recently moved to a new city. They never stay in the same place for more than a year because of his mother’s job. Rion has a strained relationship with his mother, to the point that he hides the fact that he can manipulate objects with his mind. On the other hand, he has yet to completely comprehend his true potential. Later, we came to know that, Rion is telekinetic, and he’s one of the four types of clairvoyants.

The book leaves you guessing as to what part Rion‘s mother plays and if she, like Rion, has telekinesis. While reading, You immediately engrossed in the mystery and intensity of this story. The unravelling of each section of the plot draws you in, and the chaos at the end of each section is surreal. The characters that emerge in the novel feel so genuine as if they’re someone you know. They’re all portrayed so well that you can imagine them right away.

In short, the plot of this book was unique, and learning about the abilities described here was fascinating. The start of this book is a little slow, but once it gets going, it doesn’t stop. I was so involved in the story that I finished it in 20 minutes. While this book doesn’t end on a cliffhanger, it does leave me with some unanswered questions that I hope will be addressed in the next instalment!
